Wool KS1 Summer Sports After School Club

Mr Gregory from Primary Sports will be running a SUMMER SPORTS after-school programme at Wool Primary School this term for children in KS1 (Year R to 2). The Session:

• Tuesday – 3.05pm to 4.00pm

Sessions start on 10th May and run for 9 weeks ending on the 12th July 2022

Summer Sports – Children will have the opportunity to participate in all different kinds of summer sports including Cricket, Rounders, Tennis and Athletics The children will learn skills such as catching, throwing, batting, bowling and fielding for cricket and rounders. In addition to this, they will learn the skills of athletics events such as Long Jump, Discus, Shot put, Javelin, hurdles, long distance running, relays and sprinting. The children will learn the technique and the scoring system of each event and apply within a mini-Olympic event at the end of the programme.

Mr Gregory holds a clean enhanced DBS through Primary Sports. We ask to make sure that children’s belongings are in a labelled bag. All equipment will be provided; children are expected to wear suitable PE Clothing and trainers. Warm/wet weather gear are also advised. It is the responsibility of parents to make sure that inhalers are brought with the child and that the coaches are informed of medical conditions.

Summer Sports could result in a child being injured. Primary Sports and Education will accept no liability.
