Sturminster Newton Y2 football festival

On 25th September, 36 Y2 children from 5 schools all over Sturminster Newton gathered at Shillingstone Primary School to participate in a football festival. The schools that took part were William Barnes, Child Okeford, Stalbridge, Hazelbury Bryan and the hosts Shillingstone. They were mixed up into 4 different teams named after colours and all colours played each other once. All children tried their hardest and played in the festival in the correct spirit. There are no losers at Primary Sports, just winners. Everyone received a medal and certificate for participating. A very big well done to all the teams and children that participated and we look forward to more tournaments/festivals later on in the year.
